- About Me: Dale Davis (born March 25, 1969 in Toccoa, Georgia) I 'm a former American professional basketball player who played center and power forward in the NBA. Yes I am tall 6'11" and weighs 252 pounds.
I was drafted by the Indiana Pacers with the 13th pick of the 1991 NBA Draft, and spent the first nine years of my career with them. I became the team's starting power forward, and was often referred to as the workhorse of the Pacers' outstanding teams in the mid-1990s. My numbers show I averaged double-digits in points and near double-digits in rebounds throughout my Pacers career, until I left the franchise as the team's all-time rebounds leader in their NBA era. (The Pacers were an original member of the American Basketball Association for several years before joining the NBA.)
