    NFL great George Blanda has died. The Pro Football Hall of Fame confirms Blanda died after a brief illness. No other details on his death, including what kind of illness Blanda suffered, were released. He was 83.Blanda played with the Oakland Raiders, Chicago Bears, Baltimore Colts and Houston Oilders during his 26 years playing in the NFL. He retired from football in 1975 at the age of 48. Blanda was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1981.

  • Jets Wide Receiver Braylon Edwards Arrested for DUI

    New York Jets wide receiver Braylon Edwards was arrested Tuesday on DUI charges after failing sobriety tests. Edwards was pulled over in Manhattan around 5:15 a.m. for excessive window tinting. Edwards, 27, was given a breathalyzer test after officers smelled alcohol in the vehicle. His blood alcohol level was .16, which is twice the legal limit.Edwards remains in police custody. His arraignment is set for Tuesday afternoon.
