    Officials say a teenage suicide bomber detonated explosives on a bus in Kohat, Pakistan Wednesday. At least 18 people were killed and 33 others wounded in the explosion. The bus exploded as it was leaving the Tirah Bazar market. No other details on the incident were available.   • 81 People Killed In Fire At Chile Prison

    Chilean officials say at least 81 people died in a fire at a prison near Santiago. The blaze broke out in one of the towers of the San Miguel prison around 5:48 a.m. local time after inmates began burning mattresses during a riot. The cause of the riot is unclear.Health Minister Jaime Manalich told reporters 18 people were injured. Four of them are rescuers. “This is a terrible tragedy,” he said.

    A kindergarten in Juarez, Mexico was set on fire by two armed men Monday night. The attack came after teachers at the school were threatened by extortionist, who demanded the teachers hand over their Christmas bonuses as “protection fees.” The thugs threatened to attack the school and students if teachers did not pay.     Metropolitan police arrested WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange Tuesday morning on behalf of authorities in Sweden. Assange is being held in jail on suspicion of rape, sexual molestation and unlawful coercion.     A 14-year-old boy told authorities he was a hit man for the Pacifico Sur drug cartel after being arrested last week at an airport in central Mexico.   • Rescue Efforts Continue After Landslides in Colombia

    A massive landslide in Bello, Colombia on Sunday buried between 30 and 50 homes and left more than 100 people missing. More than 700 people continued to work in shifts Tuesday in hopes of finding survivors in the rubble.The Red Cross said 23 bodies had been found by Monday night. An estimated 120 people are still trapped. Red Cross National Deputy Director Jorge Ivan said the chances of finding anyone alive diminishes as time passes.     A Cessna 210 single engine plane crashed in an Ogden, Utah neighborhood just before 6 p.m. Sunday, causing two homes to catch fire. Three people inside one home and two in the other escaped unharmed and firefighters extinguished the blaze.
