  • About Me: After almost two decades of training and experience in eye trauma, surgery, and general vision care, Dr. Kinga Tibold founded Bella Vision, LLC, her own ophthalmological service, in 2010. Dr. Kinga Tibold attended Duke University in Durham, North Carolina, where she earned her BS in Biology. She began graduate studies in pathology at the Roswell Park Cancer Institute, which is affiliated with the University at Buffalo, The State University of New York (SUNY), before deciding to pursue medicine. Dr. Tibold graduated from SUNY University at Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences in 1991. After earning her medical degree, Kinga Tibold, MD, completed an ophthalmological residency at The Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center in 1995. The center, located in Brooklyn, is one of the borough’s largest voluntary nonprofit teaching hospitals. From 1995 to 1998, Kinga Tibold, MD, worked as an ophthalmologist in several settings. She remained at Brookdale for three years after completing her training and supervised new residents as an Attending Ophthalmologist. At the Wyckoff Heights Medical Center in Brooklyn, she served as a Staff and Clinic Ophthalmologist, before moving on to a General Ophthalmologist position at the Brooklyn Medical Group, P.C. Dr. Kinga Tibold began private practice at Southern Maryland Ophthalmology in Waldorf in 1998. There, she partnered with Dr. Edward C. Clark, and the two later collaborated in the design and planning of a second Southern Maryland Ophthalmology branch and an optical shop. The new office opened in Leonardtown in 2001. Breton Bay Optical, LLC, which she also cofounded, was established in the same area. Kinga Michelle Tibold, MD, volunteered her services as an ophthalmologist to EyeCare America from 2000 to 2007. The Foundation of the American Academy of Ophthalmology runs the program. Kinga Tibold, MD, holds memberships in the Hungarian Medical Association of America and the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
