- About Me: Scott Fish, a property developer specializing in revitalizing old retail space, actively supports community groups through sponsorship and philanthropy. Fish is the principal at UP Development, a premier retail development firm based in Franklin, Tennessee. The company focuses on business in the southeastern states. With over 17 years of experience as a developer, Scott Fish has worked with many big name clients, including Dick's Sporting Goods, Outback Steakhouse, and Toys R US.
Scott Fish has used his success to benefit others, helping to pay for the college education of various youths in his community, raising money for the Franklin Police Department, and sponsoring several Boys and Girls Club events. He has also been a major sponsor of the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association for the past few years. Fish donated to the Elks Lodge in Greely, Colorado, helping them to pay off their $1.8 million in debt. He contributed to the country western singer Chely Wright's charity, which purchases musical instruments for schoolchildren across the country.
Scott Fish used his resources as a developer to purchase, expand, and then donate the Southern Ice Arena, recently renamed A-Game Sportsplex, in Franklin, Tennessee. It was an 110,000-square foot facility that was losing money every month due to operation costs. He saw the opportunity in this old, failing arena and purchased it to prevent it from shutting down. He added improvements such as basketball and volleyball courts, a pro shop, a fitness center, and a laser tag area. He used this space to provide high school teams with a playing area. When the arena was eventually sold, over 20 teams practiced there. Fish donated the arena to the town of Franklin, which eventually sold the facility for $9 million.
