Owen Wilson Wants to "Heal in Private" After Suicide Attempt

Owen Wilson asks the public to let him "heal in private" after an apparent suicide attempt. Wilson is currently in Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.

He was found in the bathroom of his Santa Monica home with his wrists slit and an empty medical pill bottle. His brother, Andrew Wilson, was the first to find him. He was initially at St. John's Hospital, but was moved to Cedars-Sinai. Brother Luke Wilson was also at his side when he was sent to the hospital.

His parents, close friends and family have visited him in the hospital.

His spokesperson, Ina Treciokas, declined to comment beyond Wilson's statement, and it was unclear exactly how or what the actor's problems were. It was deemed a suicide attempt, but it hasn't been truly confirmed if that is the case.

He recently broke up with actress Kate Hudson, who was recently found canoodling with Dax Shepard in a Los Angeles grocery store.
